Machine Setup

To begin using mySewnet, you'll need to sign up for a mySewnet account. You can either join for free, or subscribe to mySewnet embroidery software to get full access to all that mySewnet has to offer.

Step 1

Check your e-mail to verify your mySewnet™ Account and complete your profile information before logging in to any of your mySewnet™-connected devices.

If you have already created an account when you registered your product, you can use that account to login to mySewnet™ without having to create a new one. All your old machine information will automatically be brought over to mySewnet™.


Step 2

Connect your mySewnet connected machine to a WiFi network.

Touch the WiFi button in the upper left corner on your machine and activate WiFi. Select a network from the list of available networks. Enter the password for the selected network (if needed).


Step 3

to your mySewnet™ account from your mySewnet™-connected machine.

Touch the mySewnet™ button next to the WiFi button. Enter your username and password for your mySewnet™ account. The @-sign can be found when pressing the key next to 123 on the keyboard (see additional image).

It's important to sign-in to your mySewnet™ account on your mySewnet™ connected machine, otherwise you won't have access to all of mySewnet's features.


Step 4

Download and install the mySewnet™ Cloudsync tool to your PC or Mac.

Once downloaded, double-click the .zip file and then double-click mysewnetcloudsyncsetup.exe Follow the instructions in the Setup Wizard on-screen. Once it is installed, you will see a mySewnet™ Cloudsync tool folder on your hard drive.


Step 5

to mySewnet™ Cloudsync Tool on your PC or Mac.

This step will allow you to establish a connection between your computer and the mySewnet™ Cloud

Launch the mySewnet™ Cloudsync Tool by clicking on it under the Programs menu. An icon will appear in the taskbar. Click on the icon on your taskbar and then click “SIGN IN TO mySewnet™”. You will be prompted to enter your e-mail address and password for your mySewnet™ account.

Note: The mySewnet™ Cloudsync Tool requires Windows® 7, Windows® 8, Windows® 10 or Mac OS X 10. 10 and above in order to work.

When you open any of the mySewnet™ apps for the first time you will also have to sign in with your mySewnet™ account.


Step 6

Manage and store files on the mySewnet™ Cloud.

Think of mySewnet™ Cloud as one folder to store your favorite patterns or your own creations that can be accessed from multiple devices. If you save, modify or delete a file in the mySewnet™ Cloud folder, the change is automatically synchronized to all devices.

You can manage your personal files on the mySewnet™ Cloud from these three places:

Step 6a

Your mySewnet™-connected machine.

You can access the mySewnet™ Cloud folder from the screen on Your mySewnet™-connected machine. Save your files created on the machine to the mySewnet™ Cloud folder and access it from your PC.

Step 6a

The mySewnet™ Dashboard or mySewnet™ Menu from a web-browser.

Sign into your mySewnet™ account at or You can use the mySewnet™ Dashboard to access the mySewnet™ Cloud or click the Cloud icon in the mySewnet™ Menu.

Be sure you've followed the previous steps to connect your mySewnet™- connected machine to the Cloud.

Step 6a

The mySewnet™ Cloudsync Tool on your PC or Mac.

The mySewnet™ Cloudsync Tool folder can be accessed from the mySewnet™ Cloud icon on the taskbar, touch “OPEN mySewnet™ folder” You can also find it in your file explorer under “Favorites.” It appears as an ordinary folder and can contain folders within. Drag and drop files to add it into the folder.

mySewnet FAQs

How many computers can I activate my software on?

Two. If you are trying to install a third one you'll be asked to deactivate on of the other two.

How often does the software need to connect to verify the subscription?

Every 30 days.

We do recommend that you stay connected to the Internet as often as possible to take advantage of live content such as mySewnet Library and Blog, mySewnet Cloud and automatic updates to mySewnet Embroidery Software.

If you haven't been online by the end of 30 days, mySewnet Embroidery Software will start up in "Basic" mode. Don't worry, as soon as you go back online, it will revert back to your subscription level.

You will also need to be online:

  • When creating a mySewnet Account.
  • When signing up for a subscription or redeeming a code from a promotion or bought at a dealer.
  • When downloading the mySewnet Embroidery Software, installing and activating it (this is for both the box and subscription).
  • When installing and activating mySewnet Embroidery Software purchased through a retailer (the "boxed" version)
  • When you start mySewnet Embroidery Software for the first time.
Do I need a mySewnet™ Account to use mySewnet™ Embroidery Software?

Yes, for both the mySewnet Silver and Platinum Subscription or if you purchased mySewnet Embroidery Software in a retailer (the "boxed" version), you will need a mySewnet Account. You can create one for free on

Do I get updates to mySewnet™ Embroidery Software?

Yes, with a mySewnet Silver or Platinum Subscription you will always have the latest version. We'll keep adding exciting new features as soon as we have them ready.

Can I share my mySewnet™ Account with a friend so both of us can use the mySewnet™ Embroidery Software?

No. Your mySewnet Account and Subscription is personal.

If you share your login credentials with a friend they will have access to your personal information and can purchase products without your consent. Much like a bankcard PIN number, we strongly recommend keeping your mySewnet sign-in information secure and not sharing that information with anyone.

Do I need to enter a credit card to get a free mySewnet™ Account?

No, a credit card is only needed for the mySewnet Silver or mySewnet Platinum levels.

If I have purchased a 12-month mySewnet™ Subscription from a dealer, does it automatically renew with a credit card on file or do I have to renew it manually?

At the end of the purchased 12-month period, it will convert to a regular month-to-month Subscription at the same level you originally purchased and at the standard Subscription rate. The Subscription will auto-renew every month thereafter like any other mySewnet Subscription.

Is my machine compatible?

mySewnet Embroidery Subscriptions can be used with most embroidery machines in the market.

Is my machine mySewnet™ connected?

How do I sign up for mysewnet?

Explore our embroidery software plans here. You will there find the option to create an account.

How do I change by level of product - upgrade?

Log in to on My Account. There you will find the option to change Subscription level. For upgrade of boxed software, please contact your dealer.

My computer crashed and I bought a new one. How do I remove the registration of my crashed computer.

Contact Software Support and they will help you remove the registration from that computer.

Where do I find the reference guides?

How do I get embroidery Designs from mySewnet Library to the Software?

When you find a design you want to use in mySewnet Library, you can just click on the paper plane icon and choose to send it to your connected computer. This will open up your mySewnet Software. If you want to combine several designs in the Software, the easiest way is to save them to your cloud account and acess them from there.

I can't see the embroidery designs in my folder, only icons. What do I do?

Make sure you downloaded and installed the Explorer plug-in on your computer. You will find it on the download page

How do I change my address?

Go to There you will find the option to change your personal info.

How do I change my credit card?

Go to MySubscription There you will find the option to change credit card

How do I register my machine (s) - what is necessary?

You will need the machine serial number, brand and model. The date of purchase, dealer and region. Register here!

Why can I only have 2 computers activated?

There are two licenses included in your purchase. If you are trying to install a third one you'll be asked to deactivate one of the other two. This is regardless if you are subscribing or bought a box

Can I cancel at any time?

Yes, If you cancel the subscription, it will finish out the current subscription period.

Do I need a mySewnet account to use the software?

Yes, for both the Subscription and the box you need a mySewnet account. You can create one for free on

Do I get updates to my software?

Yes, with a subscription you are always on the latest version and we'll keep adding new features as soon as we have them ready. The boxed software includes bug fixes.

Do I need to enter a credit card to get a free account?

No, a credit card is only needed for the paid levels

I own an older software can I upgrade to mySewnet™ Embroidery 2021?

Yes, there is a full upgrade plan to mySewnet Embroidery 2021 for all levels. Full info here

Is mySewnet compatible with MAC?

Yes! mySewnet embroidery software works on both PC and MAC. You can choose to have one registration for each computer, if you want.
