Hair bows are back! Use your scraps and create this cute bow in no time.

What you need
  • Woven fabric
  • Hair clip (French Barrette Style)
  • Ribbon
  • Thread

1. 14”x6” / 70x15 cm of woven fabric
If you are using a patterned fabric you want to cut 2 pieces 7”x6” / 35x15cm and sew them together on the upper short ends. This way your pattern will be the right way up on both tails of the bow.

2. 4”x2” / 10x5 cm of woven fabric

3. ~4” / 10 cm of ribbon

1. Fold your long piece of fabric on the long end, right sides together.

2. Cut off one corner on each side at a 45-degree angle and sew along the edge, with ½” / 1 cm seam allowance and leave 2” / 5cm open.

3. Cut seam allowances in the corners.

4. Turn your work and press flat.

5.Lay your strip horizontally and fold down each end so that the short ends are also horizontal, see picture.

6. Fold your project like an accordion and tie a piece of thread around the center, to hold the folds in place.

7. Take your small piece of fabric. Fold ½” / 1 cm on the short ends towards the backside. Fold on the center, right sides together and sew along the edge to make a tube.

8. Turn your tube to get right side out.

9. Use a safety pin to thread the ribbon through your tube.

10. Tie the ribbon around your bow and hair clip, and you are done!
